McGregor Carding and Woolen Mill

  • SW 1/2, Lot 14 Conc 8 South Sherbrooke Township on the Fall River.
  • John McGregor built and operated a carding mill on this lot on the Fall River from 1856 – 1871. He then leased it to Francis Blair by 1871.
  • The mill was sold to James Archibald Ure who operated it as a carding mill from 1871 – 1884, and then as a custom carding and woolen mill from 1884 – 1918.

The Museum is open from 1-4pm Tuesday thru Saturday. This includes the Permanent and Temporary Exhibits as well as the Gift Shop.
