George Code Woolen Mill
  • Lot 20, Conc 11, Drummond Township on the Mississippi River
  • John Code owned a carding mill in 1838, run by Isaiah Boyce.
  • Apparently run by Benjamin Finch in 1851.
  • Carding mill under the proprietorship of George Code in 1871.
Abraham and George Code
  • Lot 20 Conc 11 Drummond Township.
  • Abraham and George Code established a woolen mill in 1856. (subsequent the firm name was Code and (George Crain; Robert Code, Homestake Woolen Mill, John Code Jr.).
  • The mill burned in 1871 but was apparently rebuilt and running until 1892.
  • It was sold to John T Fairgrieve in 1892.
  • By 1893 it was being operated by Robert Berryman.
  • From 1894 – 1895 it was run by James B Ferguson.
Innis Mill
  • Lot 20 Conc 11 Drummond Township.
  • James Jackson and James Innis (subsequently John Innis, Thomas Innis) operated a woolen mill from 1870 – 1881.

The Museum is open from 1-4pm Tuesday thru Saturday. This includes the Permanent and Temporary Exhibits as well as the Gift Shop.
