The Living Tapestries workshop is Saturday, 5 May 2018, 3:30 – 5:00 PM
Please rsvp: firstname.lastname@example.org – spaces are limited.
$8/MVTM member. $10/general public.
Participants will learn the basics of germination while experiencing the magic of living, breathing embroidered tapestries (an element featured in the museum’s installation) with roots that bind to fabric as growing thread. This is a great way to experiment on a small-scale tapestry while learning concrete growing tricks that may be translated into one’s own creative practice. Materials include burlap, seeds and mineral supplements. Facilitated by the artist, Emily Rose Michaud.
The artist has received support from the Canada Council for the Arts for her exhibition: http://emilyrosemichaud.com/tributaries
