Vanessa Coplan, textile artist, will be on hand to guide you and your child through the creative process involved in creating a piece of a blanket that has deep personal meaning for you and your child. Create a memory that both of you will cherish. Let it be the beginning of something that could grow over years to come or remain a visible reminder of an afternoon of sharing. Hand sewing seems to connect us more deeply to the artifact and allows us the time to invest more of ourselves into the item. Suggested for children with enough fine motor control to prevent frustration. Thimbles are a good idea to bring along.
